Product Introduction

Item No:W59012

The product is made of M35 high-speed steel, which contains 5% cobalt and is ground with a drill bit. The size is accurate and can be used for copper, yellow steel, carbon steel, cast iron alloy steel and stainless steel using dense thread technology

1.Application in processing different materials

metal processing

Ordinary metal: Suitable for medium hardness metals such as mild steel, aluminum alloy, and brass. It can be used to process part connection holes and screw holes (such as M5 screws, the screw hole diameter is about 4.2 - 4.5 mm). It is commonly used in mechanical parts assembly, metal bracket fixation.

Thicker metal plate: When drilling holes in metal plates with a thickness of 5 - 10 mm, low-speed feeding can be used to avoid overheating of the drill bit, such as punching of distribution box shells and steel structural connections.

wood processing

It is used for processing deep holes or through holes in solid wood and plates (such as MDF, plywood), convenient for installing larger-sized wood screws, tenon and tenon connections, or as threading holes (such as hidden holes for furniture wires), used in cabinet production, Wood art decoration.

Plastics and composites

Drilling holes in hard plastics (such as PVC board, acrylic), glass fiber reinforced plastic and other materials can be used to make heat dissipation holes for equipment casings, connection holes for model parts, or install plastic bolts with larger diameters.

other materials

Drill holes in building materials such as gypsum board and fiber cement board to fix expansion pipes or hooks; drill holes in handmade materials such as leather and cardboard to fit thicker ropes or rivets through them.

2.Specific uses in different fields

industrial manufacturing

Mechanical field: Machining positioning holes for gears, flanges and other parts, or drilling holes in molds to install guide posts and pins.

Electronic equipment: Drill heat dissipation holes in the chassis and power supply housing, or drill holes in the circuit board bracket to fit the screws of larger size for installation.

Architecture and decoration

Drill shallow holes in concrete (need to be combined with impact drill conversion mode), red bricks and other walls to install M5 expansion bolts; drill holes in door and window frames (aluminum alloy or wood) to fix hinges and locks.

DIY and maintenance

Drill connecting holes when making furniture by hand (such as fixing table legs to table top), or drill holes to replace buckles when repairing car interior trim panels; in gardening scenes, drill drainage holes for flower pots or punch holes for wooden flower stands for assembly.

Models and crafts

Drill fixing holes in large models (such as model aircraft fuselage and car model chassis), or drill holes in resin or metal handicrafts for hanging and splicing, and adapt to thicker connections.

3.Structural characteristics and adaptation advantages

Straight shank design: The shank is smooth and cylindrical, suitable for drill chucks of hand drills and bench drills (clamping range is usually 0.5 - 13 mm), easy to install, suitable for manual operation or small equipment.

Spiral groove depth: The 4.5 mm diameter drill has a longer spiral groove and strong chip removal ability. It can reduce chip accumulation when processing deep holes (such as wood drilling depth exceeds 50 mm).

Speed adaptability: When processing metal, the recommended speed is 800 - 1500 rpm, and wood can be increased to 2000 - 3000 rpm. By adjusting the speed, drill wear can be reduced.

4.precautions for use

Material hardness control: Avoid directly drilling holes in high-hardness materials (such as hardened steel and ceramic tiles). Use a central drill to position or replace a special drill bit first.

Cooling and lubrication: When processing metal, you can apply cutting fluid (such as engine oil) to cool down to prevent the drill bit from becoming soft due to high temperature annealing; wood processing needs to clean the wood chips in the hole to avoid sticking.

Drilling verticality: When using a bench drill, fix the material with a fixture, and keep the drill bit perpendicular to the surface when manually drilling to avoid the inclination of the hole position affecting subsequent installation.
