The 380 Ratchet Cable Bolt Cutter is a manual tool specially designed for power construction and cable installation. It can cut thick copper and aluminum cables with effort. Its core feature is that it has a built-in ratchet or gear force amplifier, which can gradually cut off the cable by pressing the handle multiple times, making the operation easier.

      🔧Main uses and characteristics

1.Cutting object: Mainly used to cut copper or aluminum core cables, single strand wires and multi-strand wires with cross-sectional area of less than 380mm².

 2.Special note: These tools are strictly prohibited to be used to cut steel materials such as iron wire, steel wire rope or copper hard pull wire, otherwise the knife edge will be seriously damaged.

3.Labor-saving design: The ratchet mechanism can convert small hand pressure into strong shearing force, making shearing of large-section cables more labor-saving.

4.Convenient operation: It is usually designed to be operated with one hand, has a light weight (about 0.75kg for common models) and a moderate length (about 330mm for common models), making it easy to carry and use.

Efficient and safe: The ratchet mechanism can effectively prevent the blade from slipping, ensure operation safety, and improve work efficiency.

 

 

Precautions for use

1.Use beyond the range is strictly prohibited: Be sure to distinguish whether the tool is used to cut copper-aluminum cables or steel wires. This is the most important precaution. Wrong use will directly lead to tool damage.

2.Select the appropriate model: Select a matching model based on the frequently cut cable cross-section and do not use it for cables that exceed their rated capacity.

3.Daily maintenance: Keep the tool clean, especially the gear ratchet part, and add lubricating oil in due time according to the product instructions to ensure its normal operation
