1. Core functions (direct role)

1.High-voltage insulation protection: The outer layer of the sleeve is wrapped with a high-voltage resistant insulating injection molding layer (mostly made of nylon or epoxy resin). The rated insulation voltage is 1000V-1500V, which can block current conduction and avoid accidental contact with charged objects during operation or residual charge of equipment. Electric shock occurs, which meets the safety standards for live work.

 

2.Precise biting and anti-slipping: The metal inner hole is of a regular hexagonal structure (fully covered in metric/imperial specifications), which fits closely with the head of the inner hexagonal bolt, and has high torque transmission efficiency to avoid slipping and damaging the bolt or tool during operation. Adapt to the dual needs of fastening/disassembly.

 

3.Durable, resistant to manufacturing and wide adaptability: the metal body is forged from chromium-vanadium steel (Cr-V). After heat treatment, it has a hardness of ≥ HRC45, which is resistant to deformation and wear; the insulation layer is tightly molded without bubbles and cracks, waterproof and anti-corrosion, and suitable for outdoor, humid and other complex environments.

 

4.Compatible with insulated tools: The socket tail is a standard square drive interface (common 1/4", 3/8", 1/2"), which can be quickly used with insulated tools such as insulated wrenches, VDE insulated T-handles, insulated ratchet wrenches, etc., without additional adapters.

 

2. Main application scenarios (classified by field)

1. Power engineering/distribution maintenance (core scenarios)

HV power distribution room: tighten/remove hexagon terminal bolts and bus fixing bolts in power distribution cabinet and switch cabinet (such as internal components of 10kV switch cabinet);

Outdoor power facilities: Maintenance of internal hexagonal installation bolts of transformers, transformers, and insulators, and fixing operation of overhead line fittings (strain clamps, splicing pipes).

Check whether the insulation layer is damaged or aged before operation, and it is prohibited to use it in insulation failure or rain or humidity;

Only fit socket hexagon bolts to avoid using round-head and severely worn fasteners (to prevent slipping and causing safety accidents);

When using it with insulated tools, ensure that the overall insulation level of the tool is consistent (for example, a 1500V sleeve needs to be matched with a 1500V insulated handle), and do not mix it with non-insulated tools;
