Alloy Steel Punching Six-piece Set
High industrial quality Alloy steel punching six-piece set to help optimize and solve problems.
Item No:MP47121
1. Set composition and material characteristics
The six-piece alloy steel punching set is a combination of chiseling tools made of high-hardness alloy steel (such as SK2 and 45 #steel quenched). It typically includes the following six sizes and shapes of chiseling:
Flat chisel (flat chisel): Flat edge, used to chisel flat surfaces or cut thin metal;
Sharp chisel (sharp punch): The edge is sharp and used for grooving or piercing small holes;
Central punch: Conical tip used to mark the center point of the drilling hole;
Hollow punch: Tubular edge, used to punch leather, rubber and other soft materials;
Round punching (round hole punching): Round edge, used to punch round holes;
Diamond chisel (V-shaped chisel): The edge is V-shaped and is used to chisel grooves or grooves.
2. The role and application scenarios of core tools
1. Flat chisel (flat chisel): flat chisel and cutting
Metal processing:
Chiseling away burrs, welding slag or protrusions on the metal surface (such as casting burrs, excess solder after welding);
Cut thin metal plates (thickness ≤3mm), copper/aluminum wires, or cut holes in metal plates (such as holes in iron boxes).
Wood and non-metallic materials:
Chiseling excess parts of the wood surface (such as carpentry mortise and mortise), or chiseling raised mortar on the concrete surface (such as wall leveling).
2. Sharp chisel (sharp punch): grooving and piercing
Metal grooving:
Chick V-grooves on metal parts (such as groove pretreatment before pipeline welding), or cut gaps in rusty bolts to assist disassembly;
Drill through thin metal plates (thickness ≤2mm) to make initial holes (such as holes in iron ventilation pipes).
Stone and concrete:
Chiseling the texture of the stone surface (such as rough machining of stone carvings), or cutting wire grooves in concrete walls (hidden wire grooves during water and electricity installation).
3. Center punch: borehole positioning and marking
Mechanical processing:
Punch out pits on metal workpieces and mark the center point of drilling to prevent the drill bit from slipping (such as positioning before processing by lathes and drilling machines);
Stamped part numbers or markings (such as serial numbers for steel structural parts).
Maintenance scenarios:
Flush loose rusty nuts or pins (damage the rusty joint surface through impact vibration) and assist in the use of disassembly tools (such as bearing disassembly).
4. Hollow punching: punching soft materials
Leather and textiles:
Punch belt holes, leather decoration holes (such as punching holes in belts and backpack belts), or punch round ventilation holes in the fabric;
Rubber and Plastic:
Punch sealing holes in rubber gaskets or plastic plates (such as processing pipe flange gaskets), or make round holes for model accessories (such as DIY hand-made).
5. Round punching (round hole punching): precise round hole machining
Metal sheet processing:
Punch mounting holes for metal signs (such as distribution box nameplate fixing holes), or punch heat dissipation holes in thin aluminum plates;
Wood and cardboard:
Punch wooden plug holes in carpentry (such as installation of furniture connectors), or punch decorative round holes in cardboard or leather (such as photo album covers, hand ledger accessories).
6. Diamond chisel (V-type chisel): processing grooves and grooves
Metal welding pretreatment:
Chick a V-shaped groove on the edge of the metal plate (such as prepared before butt welding of the steel plate) to increase the welding fusion area;
Wood carving:
Chiseling V-grooves in wood (such as wood carving patterns, furniture line decorations), or chiseling dovetail grooves in wooden boards.
3.Precautions for use
Security protection:
Wear protective glasses (to prevent metal debris from splashing), and keep the hand holding the chisel away from the cutting edge when chiseling to avoid slipping and injury;
Material and hardness match:
It is forbidden to use punching to hit materials with hardness higher than their own (such as hardened steel) to avoid cracking of the edge;
When punching metal, fix the workpiece on a bench vise to avoid shaking;
Maintenance:
Clean the metal debris at the edge after use and apply anti-rust oil (especially in humid environments);
If curled edges or cracks are found on the edge, replace them in time to avoid affecting the operation accuracy.
