1. Core role: Accurately measure fuel system pressure and diagnose oil supply abnormalities

The fuel systems of gasoline and diesel engines need to maintain a specific pressure (for example, gasoline injection systems are usually 2.5 to 4.0 bar, and diesel common rail systems can reach more than 1000 bar). The pressure kit uses professional instruments and accessories to achieve the following functions:

 

Fuel pump pressure detection: Measure the output pressure of the fuel pump to determine whether the pump body is worn, blocked or performance degraded.

 

Fuel rail (rail) pressure monitoring: detects fuel pressure before injection to ensure that the injector injects fuel at the correct pressure to ensure combustion efficiency.

 

Fuel injector tightness test: Through the pressure maintaining function, check the pressure retaining ability of the fuel injector in the closed state to determine whether there is a leak.

 

2. Specific use scenarios

(1) Vehicle maintenance and fault diagnosis

Engine starting difficulty/unstable idle speed

If the gasoline pressure is too low (such as fuel pump pressure relief or fuel filter blockage), it may cause the mixture to be too lean, the engine is difficult to start, or the engine will shake at idle speed. The pressure kit can directly measure the fuel pump outlet pressure and locate the source of the fault.

 

Example: When the common rail pressure of diesel vehicles is insufficient (such as wear of the high-pressure oil pump), it will lead to poor spray and power reduction. Through the pressure kit, you can quickly confirm whether the common rail pressure reaches the standard value (such as 1600 bar).

 

Abnormal fuel consumption/excessive emissions

Excessive fuel pressure can lead to excessive mixture, increased fuel consumption and emissions of black smoke (diesel vehicles) or excessive hydrocarbons (HC)(gasoline vehicles). The pressure kit can compare standard pressure values to determine whether the fuel pressure regulator has failed.

 

Fuel injection system maintenance

Regularly use the pressure kit to test the tightness of the fuel injector: maintain the pressure for 30 seconds. If the pressure drops significantly, it means that the fuel injector is poorly sealed and needs to be cleaned or replaced.

 

(2) Special testing of diesel common rail system

High-pressure common rail system: The diesel pressure kit is equipped with a high-pressure sensor (range up to 2000 bar), which can be connected to the common rail tube to detect real-time pressure, cooperate with a diagnostic instrument to analyze fuel injection timing and fuel injection volume, and check rail pressure sensors, pressure limiting valves and other component failures.

 

Fuel filter efficiency verification: After replacing the diesel filter, compare the pressure difference before and after using the pressure kit to determine whether the filter element is correctly installed or blocked (normal pressure difference should be less than 0.5 bar).

 

(3) Full-process testing of gasoline injection system

Low-pressure fuel system: Check the pressure of the line from the fuel tank to the fuel rail, and check for problems such as fuel pump relays and fuel line leaks (such as aging rubber pipes).

 

In-cylinder direct injection system (GDI): The gasoline pressure kit can measure the output pressure of the high-pressure oil pump (up to more than 100 bar) and determine whether the high-pressure pump plunger and solenoid valve are faulty.

 

(4) Multi-vehicle adaptation and portability (kit design advantages)

Diversity of accessories: The kit contains connectors, hoses and adapters of different specifications to adapt to the fuel systems of gasoline vehicles (manifold injection/direct injection), diesel vehicles (pump nozzles/common rail) and construction machinery engines.

Post-maintenance verification: After replacing fuel pumps, fuel injectors and other components, verify through the pressure kit whether the system pressure has returned to the standard value to ensure maintenance quality.
