1. Core role: Accurately measure the pressure of the oil pressure system, covering the testing needs of multiple scenarios
The tester is designed with a range of 0 - 500 PSI (about 0 - 35 BAR) and is suitable for pressure monitoring of medium and low pressure oil pressure systems. Its core functions include:
Hydraulic system pressure detection: Measure the working pressure of hydraulic pumps, cylinders, and pipelines to determine whether the system reaches the rated load capacity.
Lubricating system flow and pressure evaluation: Check engine oil pressure and transmission lubricating oil pressure to ensure adequate lubrication of moving parts.
Pressure retention testing and leak diagnosis: Observe pressure drop by maintaining pressure and locate leak points in pipelines, joints or components.
2. Specific use scenarios
(1) Maintenance of industrial hydraulic equipment
Hydraulic system troubleshooting
When the hydraulic equipment (such as injection molding machine, excavator hydraulic arm) is slow or weak, use the tester to measure the hydraulic pump outlet pressure:
If the pressure is lower than the rated value (e.g. pump rated pressure 30 BAR, measured pressure 20 BAR), it may be caused by pump body wear, blocked suction port or relief valve pressure relief.
Check the working pressure of the oil cylinder and judge whether the piston seal is aging (such as rapid pressure drop during pressure maintenance).
Hydraulic Component Performance Test
Test the opening pressure of the reversing valve and relief valve: gradually increase the pressure until the valve acts, and compare the standard value to judge whether the component fails.
Test the charging pressure of the accumulator: Connect the tester and release the pressure, and observe whether the reading of the pressure gauge conforms to the design value (such as the accumulator pre-charging pressure of 10 BAR).
(2) Automobile engine lubrication system testing
Diagnosis of abnormal oil pressure
The normal oil pressure is about 1.5 - 3BAR when the engine is idling, and can reach 3 - 5BAR at high speeds. If the oil pressure is too low (such as 0.5BAR at idle speed), it may be:
Wear of the oil pump, oil pan leaks, and clogging of the oil filter;
The clearance between the engine bearing shells is too large, resulting in pressure relief.
If the oil pressure is too high, the oil viscosity may be too high or the pressure limiting valve is stuck. The source of the fault can be quickly located through the tester.
Transmission lubrication system inspection
Automatic transmission (AT/DSG) needs to maintain a specific oil pressure (such as main oil line pressure of 5 - 12 BAR), and a tester can be connected to a pressure measuring hole to determine whether the oil pump and solenoid valve are faulty (such as a gear shift failure may be caused by oil pressure fluctuations).
(3) Maintenance of engineering machinery and agricultural machinery
Loader/crane hydraulic system: Check the working pressure of steering cylinder and lifting cylinder to ensure that the load capacity meets the standard (for example, the bucket lifting pressure needs to reach 25 BAR).
Tractor hydraulic suspension system: Measure the pressure of the suspension cylinder, check for leakage problems in the distribution valve, and avoid abnormal lifting of agricultural tools.
(4) Installation and debugging of oil pressure system
New equipment debugging: After installing the hydraulic system, use a tester to gradually increase the pressure to verify that each component reaches the design pressure (such as the rated pressure of the hydraulic station is 30 BAR), and remove air.
Pipeline tightness test: Conduct a pressure-maintaining test on the newly installed or repaired oil circuit (such as maintaining the pressure of 35 BAR for 30 minutes), and the pressure drop does not exceed 0.5 BAR will be qualified.

Cooperate with fault code analysis: In vehicle OBD diagnosis, if "P0520"(oil pressure sensor failure) occurs, you can verify whether the sensor reading is distorted by measuring the pressure by the tester.
